Investor Lawsuit Against CEA Industries Highlights Governance Concerns
YZi Labs has brought attention to a lawsuit filed by investor Abraham Gomez against CEA Industries and its director Hans Thomas, who also serves as founding partner of 10X Capital. The dispute centers on alleged corporate governance failures and operational deficiencies at the Nasdaq-listed company.
Gomez's complaint describes an 'operational vacuum' discovered during a site visit, including the absence of a functioning website. These observations fuel YZi Labs' longstanding criticism that CEA operates as a shell for 10X Capital's benefit rather than as a legitimate public entity.
The conflict stems from 10X Capital's management of CEA's digital asset treasury under a controversial long-term agreement. YZi Labs had previously questioned the arrangement's transparency and alignment with shareholder interests.
